San Diego

Mark and Sandy hiking at Daley Ranch.

Entrance to Daley Ranch

A long, long hike. Up hill, both ways. At least, that's what it seemed like.
The world's best taquitos.

Morris Kids Texas Vacation

Meet Brandon Morris, my husband's nephew.  He came to stay for two weeks with us this summer and we had a ton of fun.

We took the kids to Dinosaur Valley in Glen Rose.  The water was too low to swim, but we saw the dino footprints.

The only swimming we got to do was at the hotel.  The whole Paluxy River was a dry creek bed.

The kids enjoyed feeding the animals at Fossil Rim wildlife refuge.

The emu's are particularly aggressive.

The ultimate "angry birds."

The big horn sheep just drool on you.

You have to feed the giraffes from the sunroof instead of the window!

The big kitties were behind the fence.  This one looks like he wants to play.

Great Wolf Lodge = $500

Frisco Rec Center = $6
Hmmm.  Which was the better deal.

Magic Quest and ice cream at the Great Wolf Lodge

Caroline got girly time at the Scoops Spa.

Magic Quest at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Next, we got cowboy-ed up for the rodeo!

Pony rides

The children mostly cheered for the calves to win.  "Escape those cowboys, little calf!"  They did like the barrel riders, though.
