Hardwired

As my four year old son was snuggling in my lap this morning, he says to me:
"You know what I like about you, Mommy?"
"What, sweetheart?" I replied, feeling loved and appreciated.
"I like that you have these long, bouncy ribs," he says, jamming his finger into my boob (ouch!). "That makes you way better than Daddy."

Apparently the male obsession is lifelong.

Too much Seinfeld

I love to hear adult phrases come out of kid's mouths.

When Caroline's friend Tomas started Kindergarten, he said goodbye to his teacher on the first day with "Later, babe!"

More recently, Caroline used the Seinfeld phrase "yada yada yada" (correctly) in a sentance -- "I sorted the socks by color, matched them up, yada yada yada..."

I laughed and laughed.

Elaine yada yada yada'd sex.
Caroline yada yada yada's socks.
